Price-Miller 15th in Tulare, CA with Destiny Motorsports

PETERSEN MEDIA: Though the end result wasn’t quite what Parker Price-Miller and Destiny Motorsports had in mind, the Kokomo, IN native was able to take some positives away from Friday night’s 15th place finish in Tulare, CA.

“We have some really good speed, and we spent most of the feature battling inside the Top-10,” Price-Miller said. “Unfortunately we can’t seem to be there at the end, and that is something I really need to work on.”

With 43 cars jammed into the Thunderbowl Raceway pit area on Friday night, Price-Miller got his night started off by timing the MonDak Portables/Ft. Union Supply and Trading/Townline Variety backed No. 4 machine in seventh quickest in his qualifying group.

Lining up in the second row of his heat race, PPM was able to jump into third position as he chased after Gio Scelzi who ran just ahead of him in the second and final Dash spot. Battling Scelzi, PPM was never able to quite get a run on him and settled for third at the line.

Transferring into the 35-lap feature event, Price-Miller would take the green flag from the ninth starting position. On a racy Thunderbowl Raceway, Price-Miller would find himself battling with the likes of Ian Madsen and Gio Scelzi as they jockeyed for position inside the Top-10 on the 1/3 mile bullring.

Battling hard for position, a couple of late restarts would plague PPM as he faded a little in the closing laps and took the checkered flag in the 15th position.

“It’s a tough result, for sure,” Price-Miller quipped. “I really think we are better then these finishes the last couple of weeks, but we will keep working hard, and I will do my best to get my hard working guys some results.”

Destiny Motorsports would like to thank MonDak Portables, Ft. Union Supply and Trading, Townline Variety, Agee Farms, CSI Race Shocks, Triple X, Chalk Stix, Champion Brand Lubricants, All Star Performance, KSE Racing Products, HRP, PPM Titanium, Wilwood, Keizer Wheels, Simpson, Petersen Media, My Race Pass, Speedway Engines, FK Rod Ends, Boss Signs and Graphics, Classic Ink, Brown and Miller Racing Solutions, C&H Veteran Enterprises, Hoosier Tires North, and BulterBuilt for their continued support.
