PETERSEN MEDIA: Heading west with the World of Outlaws, Parker Price-Miller and the Destiny Motorsports team would have a couple of good nights in the making, but when it was all said and done PPM and the team were unable to pick up the results they were looking for.

“We got off to pretty good starts both nights, but we struggled a little bit in the feature on Wednesday, and on Thursday a couple of restarts didn’t work out for us and we slipped back towards the end of the night,” Price-Miller said.

Wednesday night saw the Kokomo, IN driver get off to a great start as he made the best of a late qualifying draw and timed the MonDak Portables/Ft. Union Supply and Trading/Townline Variety backed No. 4 entry in fifth quickest in his time trial flight.

Lining up third in his heat race, PPM would battle for the second position, which would have made him Dash eligible, but close quarters racing forced the youngster to check up as he would pocket a third lace finish.

Taking the green flag from the 13th starting position, Price-Miller would get off to a nice start as he was able to crack the Top-10 during an early restart. As the race move on, Price-Miller would admittedly struggle, as he would slip back during a myriad of restarts. Hanging on, PPM would take the checkered flag with a 17th place finish.

Looking for redemption on Thursday, Price-Miller would again get off to a great start as he timed the Agee Farms/CSI Shocks/Triple X backed entry in second quickest in qualifying time trials.

Lining up on the front row of his heat race alongside Donny Schatz, PPM would run in the second spot for much of the race as he looked to punch his ticked into the Dash. Late in the race the leaders would approach a slower car, and it would result in PPM having to check up and he would lose the Dash spot as he went on to finish third.

Gridding the field from the 11th starting position in the 30-lap affair, Price-Miller would work his way up to ninth where he would run for much of the race. A mid-race restart saw him get a great jump as he was able to advance to sixth, but another caution would negate his progress.

Continuing to run inside the Top-10, a lap 24 restart would prove costly to PPM as he would slip back when the action resumed as he would fall to a 14th place finish.

“I was really happy with the speed we had during both nights,” PPM added. “As a driver, I just need to get better on restarts and better on bigger tracks and I think we will be in the mix. Overall, I feel like we are heading in the right direction, and I am looking forward to some California tracks the next few weeks. I have to thank my guys for their continued work, as well as Rick and Barb Rogers and our partners for continuing to believe in me.”

Destiny Motorsports would like to thank MonDak Portables, Ft. Union Supply and Trading, Townline Variety, Agee Farms, CSI Race Shocks, Triple X, Chalk Stix, Champion Brand Lubricants, All Star Performance, KSE Racing Products, HRP, PPM Titanium, Wilwood, Keizer Wheels, Simpson, Petersen Media, My Race Pass, Speedway Engines, FK Rod Ends, Boss Signs and Graphics, Classic Ink, Brown and Miller Racing Solutions, C&H Veteran Enterprises, Hoosier Tires North, and BulterBuilt for their continued support.
