Parker Price-Miller Pleased with Progress at Destiny Motorsports

PETERSEN MEDIA: After a month of competing with Destiny Motorsports, Parker Price-Miller is pleased with how things are progressing to date. Price-Miller is quick to point out that his crew is working hard night in and night out to give him a quick racecar, but he needs to do a better job of making less mistakes.

“Lakeside things didn’t go our way, and in the feature I was trying to find some different lines and it slowed us up a little bit,” Parker Price-Miller said. “We were good in Salina, OK on Saturday night, but I just made too many mistakes.”

Friday night in Lakeside, KS, the Kokomo, IN driver kicked the night off by timing the MonDak Portables/Ft. Union Supply and Trading/Townline Variety backed No. 4 entry in 23rd quickest in qualifying time trials.

Getting penalized in heat race action for jumping a start, Price-Miller would end up with a sixth place finish which forced him into the ‘B’ Main where a run from fifth to third placed him in the night’s feature event.

Taking the green flag from the 23rd starting position, Price-Miller quickly began searching around the Lakeside Speedway trying some different things in hopes of making a run forward. Able to pick up a few positions, Price-Miller would end his night with a 19th place finish.

Traveling to Salina, OK on Saturday, Price-Miller would time in 16th quickest and the team would go to work and make some wholesale changes to the Agee Farms/Champion Brand Lubricants All Star Performance machine.

Feeling a lot better in his heat race, Price-Miller’s sixth place finish would put him in the feature event where he would take the green flag from the 16th starting position. When the race came to life, Price Miller was able to pick up several spots as he worked into 12th and began chasing after Daryn Pittman on the slick surface.

With his tires going away on the abrasive track a late restart would plague Price-Miller. Sitting in 12th he would lose a couple of positions and finish his weekend with a 15th place finish.

“I needed to capitalize on that last restart, and I ended up losing spots,” Price-Miller said. “I hate it for these guys, but I am happy with the speed we have been showing. Thanks to Rick and Barb Rogers for believing in me, and hopefully we can continue to progress in these final couple of weekends.”

Destiny Motorsports would like to thank MonDak Portables, Ft. Union Supply and Trading, Townline Variety, Agee Farms, Champion Brand Lubricants, All Star Performance, KSE Racing Products, CSI Race Shocks, HRP, Triple X, PPM Titanium, Chalk Stix, Wilwood, Keizer Wheels, Simpson, Petersen Media, My Race Pass, Speedway Engines, FK Rod Ends, Boss Signs and Graphics, Classic Ink, Brown and Miller Racing Solutions, C&H Veteran Enterprises, Hoosier Tires North, and BulterBuilt for their continued support.
